# How can I self-attest my income for a higher discount?

## If you qualify as Low- or Moderate-Income, you may be able to self-attest your income level, depending on your state.

Households that qualify as Low- or Moderate-Income based on their state requirements are often eligible for a higher discount (up to 3x) if they can verify that income level.

In **New Jersey**, subscribers can self-attest by filling out this [**form**](https://neighborhoodsun.solar/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/NJ-LMI-Attestation-Form_January-2025.pdf)and submitting it during enrollment or in [***MySolar***](https://ns.solarforall.io/login.cfm). 

In **Maryland**, you can (1) prove your participation in certain income-qualifying programs or (2) submit financial documentation like a W2 or paystub.

In **New York**, verification requirements depend on which solar farm you're subscribed to.
