How do I pay for my community solar credits?

We offer automatic payments online via our SunEngine platform.

If your state doesn't support consolidated billing:

Each month, you will be automatically charged for the electricity (the community solar credits applied to your monthly electric bill) your share of the solar farm generates via the payment method you provided upon signup.

You may choose automatic debit from a checking account or a credit card. Unfortunately, we do not offer paper billing or non-automated payments (Hey, it’s better for the planet!).

You can view past invoices, outstanding balances, and update your method of payment through your MySolar account here.

If your state uses consolidated billing:

In states like New York, which utilize consolidated billing for community solar, you won't receive a separate invoice from Neighborhood Sun for your community solar charges. Instead, you will make your regular utility bill payment, which will already reflect the reduced cost due to your community solar credits. You can still view your past savings statements via the MySolar portal.
