Instead of receiving a check for excess credits that might have accumulated at the end of Pepco's fiscal year, subscribers now have the option to have their solar credits roll over indefinitely to future utility bills.
In 2024, Pepco began offering an option for community solar subscribers to help maximize savings and optimize their community solar subscription.
Instead of receiving a check for excess credits that might have accumulated at the end of Pepco's fiscal year, subscribers now have the option to have their solar credits roll over indefinitely to future utility bills. By selecting this option, you’ll be able to:
- Track your solar generation more accurately and gain a better understanding of how much your share of the solar farm is producing.
- Assess your savings over a longer period and make informed decisions about your energy use.
- Evaluate if an adjustment to your subscription allocation is needed to better match your energy needs, ensuring that you receive just the right amount of credits.
Choosing to roll your credits forward gives you greater flexibility in managing your subscription and ensures that you're not left with excess credits that don’t contribute directly to your savings.
If you’d like to opt for this indefinite rollover of solar credits, simply fill out the Excess Generation Accrual Election Form and email it to gpcbillingmailbox@pepcoholdings.com.
